R8 Esports earned the most points (1240) and first place in the PMGC regional standings with consistent results in the PMPL Spring and Fall seasons. The squad will compete in PMGC 2022, which will take place between December 2022 and January 2023. As of now, PMGC Qualification Points Rule is only for PMPL Africa, Arabia, North America, Turkey, and West Europe. Team Selection Criteria of PMGC 2022
The qualification process for this year’s Global Championship is a little different. Teams from all across the world will compete in their respective nations’ Pro Leagues, with teams are chosen based on the PMGC points system. Teams will be judged on their performance during the two seasons of the PMPL (League Stage and Finals). Through PMGC points, a single club from each of the twelve regions operating their domestic Pro Leagues will qualify for PMGC 2022.
Teams for PMGC 2022 will be selected on the bases of PMGC Qualification Points. PMGC Qualification Points are accumulated for the team by combining total points earned from PMPL League Super Weekend and PMPL Finals in both 2022 PMPL seasons. Team(s) with the highest PMGC Qualification Points from each region qualify for PMGC.
