Reject Devine has been suspended from PMJL Phase 2 after violating Japanese Law. The policies and rules at Krafton are very strict. In addition to superb build-up competitions, they place great emphasis on integrity, punctuality, and the quality of players. The PUBG Mobile Esports are regulated by a zero-tolerance policy worldwide, and any violations of the rules are punished regardless of the location.
A similar disciplinary issue has again been raised in the Korea/Japan region of PUBG Mobile. Devine from Team Reject is charged under the laws of Japan with drinking alcohol with a minor woman.
Krafton in its official statement released today mentioned, “We want to inform you that a player from the PMJL team REJECT has been sent to the suspended list. The target player is Devine. Laws and regulations (including punishment laws) that are contrary to the law or public order.”
Penalties Imposed
The player has been suspended from participating in Phase 2 games of PMJL Season 1. A fine of one million yen was imposed on the team owner for violating Bylaws Part 1: Chapter 6 1 section.
They also mentioned, “The division must take this situation seriously. To further deepen their understanding of athletes and prevent a recurrence, all athletes will receive training and enlightenment.”
In this regard, Team Reject has also released an official statement stating, “In this instance, it was found that PMJL league player “Devine” (19 years old at the time), who belongs to our company, was drinking with a minor woman. We take this situation very seriously because we are minors, and we consider it to be acceptable for professional players to drink alcohol.
It is our company’s lack of supervision that has led to this occurrence, and we apologize to all our indebted customers and fans. Please accept our sincere apologies. To foster a period of deep reflection in the future, Devine will not participate in any activities at this point. We apologize for any inconvenience this time.”
Starting September 17, Devine will not participate in Pubg Mobile Japan League Phase 2. Team Reject was the champion from last season, and Devine was an important part of it. The prize pool for PMJL Phase 2 will be approximately 500,000 USD. Now the biggest question arises “How Reject would perform in this tournament with the absence of its best player.”
