The highly anticipated launch of the sequel of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Counter-Strike 2 might be around the corner as new leaks surface. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) is a first-person shooter game developed and published by Valve Corporation. It was released on August 21, 2012, and serves as the fourth main instalment in the Counter-Strike series.
According to Valve’s official announcement, Counter-Strike 2 will be a free update to CS: GO and will be available worldwide in the summer of 2023. Limited Testing for it began on March 22. A select group of players have access to it, and they will be testing out different game elements and giving developers feedback.
Previously, the release window for Counter-Strike 2 was projected to be in October. However, recent developments suggest that the release dates might be sooner than initially anticipated.
Data miners discovered that CS: GO is categorised as “out of scope” for new reports beginning on June 14, leading to more recent rumours suggesting a June 14 release date for CS2.
So @valvesoftware updated their hackerone policy this morning to make CSGO reports out of scope (meaning any vulnerabilities reported are useless and won’t be looked into), maybe something is cooking? pic.twitter.com/a9oRKseznO

The development team has leveraged the advanced capabilities of Source 2 tools and rendering features to achieve this significant improvement in visual quality. Upon the full release of Counter-Strike 2, players can anticipate a comprehensive selection of maps, game modes, and features.
The game is expected to offer an extensive range of maps, including beloved classics such as Nuke, Inferno, Overpass, and Mirage, among others. Additionally, better tick rate servers had been requested by CS: GO gamers for a long time, and in Counter-Strike 2, developers totally redesigned the sub-tick update architecture.
CS: GO has a strong focus on competitive play and is a popular title in the esports scene. It has a large player base and is regularly updated with new content, bug fixes, and gameplay improvements. While the extent of the impact will ultimately depend on the quality and reception of Counter-Strike 2, it has the potential to contribute significantly to the esports scene surrounding the game.
