On January 14th, 2020 PUBG revealed a brand new desert map called Karakin. With the tag line Higher tension, faster pace: Welcome to Karakin which was a 2×2 desert map. The map looked similar to Miramar but smaller in size as compared to Sanhok and can have 64 players.

But the Karakin Update came with a cost, as the developers took away the Vikendi Map. According to the PUBG Officials, the map needed a complete revamp as there was no major update in the map since its release in early 2019.

The new Vikendi map will return to all the platforms in the upcoming Season 7 update. The map is being tested by the selected influencers and community MVPs on PC.

MAJOR CHANGES IN MAP
  • Abbey now moved onto Mount Kreznic
  • Tovar and Movatra removed
  • Blue Lines represent train tracks
  • Red dots represent train stations

With the major update in the pc version of the game, we can soon get some similar updates in the mobile version in the coming seasons
