Pubg Mobile World League Season zero prizepool, teams, format and dates announced

Pubg Mobile Esports took its YouTube channel to announce the details about upcoming Pubg Mobile World League – Eastern and Western Division. James Jinho Yang, director of PUBG Mobile Global Esports, Tencent Games stated, “COVID-19 is affecting every single one of us and Pubg Mobile esports is not an exception. We needed to change our format from offline to online and delay our schedule to make better preparation accordingly. ”

Since most of the PMPL’s are finished or ongoing for South Asia and America region. Pubg Mobile announced the dates, format, additional teams and prize pool for the World League.

Two new teams added in the Eastern region

After the announcement of the increase in the number of slots from 5 to 7 teams in the South Asia region. Pubg Mobile Esports added two more slots in the South East Asia region. Making the way for RRQ Athena and Team Morph into the PMWL. Thus, a total of 20 teams will compete from the East and West League individually.

PMWL Format, Dates and Timings

There have been some slight changes in the format of the league. 20 teams will play in the Season Zero (Special Season) of PMWL that will commence from 10th July-9th August 2020. Timings are as follows

  • 6:00 PM IST (East League)
  • 12:30 AM IST (West League)

It will be 4 weeks long league out of which top 16 teams will qualify for the World League Finals.

Massive Prize Pool

PMWL will witness a massive prize pool of $850,000 distributed among players and teams including MVP awards, attendance fee etc. As stated by Pubg Mobile, this is the biggest amount for a single event in the history of Pubg Mobile Esports.

The announcement also teased a sneak peek of the new Pubg Mobile Esports Studio built-in Katowice, Poland in partnership with ESL. After looking at the teaser we can say that it will be one of the best esports studio built so far.

PMCO 2020 Fall Split announced

A piece of good news came out for all the players aspiring to start their career in esports. The registration for the Pubg Mobile Club Open Fall Split 2020: India is starting from 24th June 2020. It is an opportunity for the players to showcase their skills and compete with the top teams from India. You can register your team at clubopen.pubgmobile.com.
