PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 kicked off on 13th February 2021 with total of 16 franchise teams. PUBG Mobile Japan League is a franchise league where 16 teams will compete throughout the year. The first phase of PMJL Season 1 will be continued till May 1 where the matches will be played only on weekends.
This is the first time when franchised league got introduced in PUBG Mobile esports. PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 has a massive prize pool of 300 million Yen ( Approx $2.8 Million USD). There will be two-phase of PMJL Season 1, each phase winners will get 100 Million Yen as the prizemoney. Phase 1 of PMJL is set to held from February 13 – 1 May 2021 whereas Phase 2 will take place from July to September 2021.
There will be PMOT Online in May-June which will be an open event for all the teams from the region. Followed by the PMJL phase 2 there will be PMCL Online which is scheduled to be held in Oct-Nov. Phase 1 of PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 is being played offline in Tokyo, Japan where each team playing from temporary Bootcamp set in the city. PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 is being organized by X-Moment. The league is sponsored by Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G. There will be a total of 50 matches played by teams in Phase 1. PMJL Season 1 Phase 1 has 12 Matchdays where 4 matches will take place each day, except last day which will have 6 matches.
