PUBG Mobile India (KRAFTON India) head, Sean Hyunil Sohn confirmed its approach by reacting to the announcement of recognition by GOI. Here’s what he has to say.
“This is a pathbreaking move by the government and we are delighted to see the recognition given to eSports as part of multi-sports events by the Government of India. It is a testament to India’s commitment to making its mark in the global gaming ecosystem. This official acknowledgment will go a long way in boosting job creation, creating new business opportunities, and opening new avenues for the youth to realize their potential. We look forward to seeing eSports further integrated into competitive gaming and we as KRAFTON are confident to play our part in furthering the vision of a thriving gaming ecosystem in India.”
After going blank in the last three updates, the Indian version is expecting the arrival of a new version in a few days. The excitement around the same is huge with fans taking it as an indicator of BGMI’s possible return. However, as of now, nothing has been confirmed yet. So, gamers have to be patient for a few more days to have more clarity.
