This comes after the ruling government thinks that the game is a bad influence on the youth considering the “violent nature of the game”.
It’s interesting to note that other South Asian countries, including Bangladesh and India, have also outlawed the popular game in the past. However, the reason for its ban is different in this case. The game appeared to gather and exchange sensitive user data in India, the decision was taken because of privacy and security concerns. In the past too, Afghanistan called out to ban games of violent nature, PUBG Mobile in specific.

Iran, Nepal, Jordan, Iraq, Israel, and more nations have also banned this game in addition to India. There were also requests for Pakistan to outlaw the game, but the prohibition was later repealed and the game is still available there. Despite getting banned in different countries, PUBG Mobile has emerged as one of the most popular BR titles globally.
