PUBG Mobile took their Instagram account to announce the return of the game in India. After Two months-long ban, the popular battle royale mobile game is coming back to the country. The developer of the game PUBG Corporation announced the launch of a brand new game PUBG Mobile India which will be specifically created for the Indian gaming market.
PUBG Corporation’s parent company KRAFTON Inc has released a statement where they discussed the plans to invest $100 million in the Indian market to build the local video game, entertainment sector, eSports of the game and IT industries. The company also mentioned that they will create a subsidiary in India for better communications with players and hire around 100 employees for the Indian company to develop an ecosystem of the game.
The game is returning sooner than expected by all the members of the community, but it still unclear that PUBG Corporation or its Indian subsidiary have the necessary permission and approval from the Government of India. In the month of September, Government of India banned 118+ Chinese applications including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. This ban was announced under Section 69A of the IT Act in the concern about India’s security and defence.

To build and foster a healthy gameplay environment, in-game content will be improved and tailored to reflect local needs. Various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian gamers. Such as the game now being set in a virtual simulation training ground, new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game. More importantly, the company will include a feature that places restrictions on game time to promote healthy gameplay habits for younger players.”

There is no confirmed launch date for the PUBG Mobile India version. The PUBG Corporation official has said that the release date of the game will be out later.
