Tencent games the developer of Pubg Mobile has announced #PubgmPlayAsOne event to support the health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently the team entered in a partnership with Direct Relief. Where they will bring an in-game event called Running Challenge for Donation.
ABOUT THE EVENT
With the launch of the #PUBGMPlayAsOne campaign in-game and among social communities. Pubg Mobile as a game is dedicated to connect players with each other and bring a positive impact to the world. In this event, players can contribute to the donation by sprint running in-game. As much a player-run in the sprint that will add to global sprint count.
This event has six milestones including the starting point based on distance, the first milestone is completed which was 72,000,000 km. For now Pubg Mobile has donated $1,100,000 and more donations will be added with every milestone achieved by the players.
This event will take place from July 15 to July 28, to support this campaign player can join the in-game event “Running Challenge For Donation” event. Players’ sprinting distance in-game will be added to the server milestone corresponding to a dollar donation by Pubg Mobile. Join the event here and start sprinting for the cause.
ABOUT DIRECT RELIEF
Direct Relief is responding to COVID-19 globally by providing personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers. Building a medication stockpile to assist with the anticipated spike in ICU patients and boosting support to safety-net facilities to address existing chronic gaps that are likely to grow.
Community members can also support the event by donation through the Direct Relief x PUBG MOBILE dedicated site. All donation which will be made through the site that will go to support Direct Relief’s emergency response to COVID-19. The community members can donate here.
