Esports Career
Toyz was a mid-laner for Taipei Assassins in the League of Legends World Championship. His most used character was Orianna who had an in-game Taipei Assassins skin that can be used even today. After his success in the 2012 Championship, Toyz played as a mid-laner for a few years. He then changed his job to behind-the-scenes trainer and manager. After his long journey in the e-sports world, Toyz retired in 2019.
Following his retirement in late 2015, he converted to several coaching and managerial roles for esports teams in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Kurtis Lau or Toyz won the League Of Legends Championship 2012 along with his team Taipei Assassins.
Crime and Charges
However, after just 10 years of his winning, Toyz was found guilty of drug trafficking and attempted drug trafficking. He was charged with 6 crimes, 4 counts of completed second-degree drug trafficking, and 2 counts of attempted drug trafficking. He was caught along with his 200 marijuana pods. Toyz received his bail in January 2022 for an amount of 1.5 million Taiwan dollars. From his defense, Toyz pleaded guilty as he expressed that he was not familiar with the Taiwanian Laws.
