Pokimane unban request forms on Twitch astounded Valkyrae. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys’ unban request forms on Twitch astounded former YouTube streamer Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, who was a guest on her stream. Despite switching to another streaming platform, Valkyrae, like Pokimane, is one of the most popular female streamers in the industry. After the recent event involving a hate raid by content creator JiDion, she was both upset and surprised to see how much hate her friend was facing. Hofstetter’s feeds didn’t create nearly as much animosity. Pokimane, her friend, was going through something she couldn’t imagine.
Pokimane unban request forms on Twitch astounded Valkyrae
Last January 26, the co-owner of 100 Thieves appeared in a live stream hosted by her pal Pokimane. They decided to check into Pokimane’s unban requests. As you would have guessed, they all despised the female streamer. They were all disrespectful or vulgar to the female streamer as part of the hate raid.
Valkyrae only saw 4000 requests out of a total of 15,000 before they removed them. Pokimane showed her how many pages her unban requests had accumulated, the majority of which were still packed with hate comments directed at the streamer. Pokimane’s moderators were able to regulate her chat virtually every day thanks to their efforts, but imagine how many people they have to ban on a regular basis.
Although the problem has subsided, its impact continues to be felt. At this point, the platform must take action to prevent such vile comments from being made by the community. Valkyrae is set to return to streaming on January 31. Hopefully, we will not see her go through this type of ordeal again. Nobody should have to deal with so much hatred from so many people.
