Pokimane got frustrated after Mizkif opened up about Rumble streams- With the ongoing debate about streamers switching and growing affinity towards different streaming platforms like Twitch, Rumble and Kick, the recent contract of Mizif singing with Rumble has raised eyebrows. Popular streamer Pokimane addressed the issue as she couldn’t think of any reason why Mizkif would do so.
The news that popular Twitch broadcaster Matthew “Mizkif” has acquired a live-streaming contract with Rumble made headlines on May 29, 2023. He made it clear that he would keep doing live broadcasts on the platform run by Amazon and twice weekly appearances on Rumble. Moreover, he revealed that he has not entered into an exclusive live-streaming agreement with the controversial Twitch rival Rumble.
Pokimane got frustrated after Mizkif opened up about Rumble streams
Rumble has already made headlines for its alleged adherence to free speech and for providing a platform for those who have been blacklisted on other online platforms. Recently, Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed streamed the first-ever Rumble camping trip, breaking records in the process. After this occasion, Mizkif successfully negotiated a contract to stream on the platform as well.
Pokimane looked into the matter after being asked to discuss Mizkif joining the Rumble during a recent live stream. “I mean, he obviously did it for money, which is unfortunate, because I don’t think he needs the money,” Pokimane stated to her viewers. “Honestly, I should talk to him about this on stream. That’s probably the fairest way to do this.” Pokimane was bewildered that Mizkif was streaming on the site, despite his vow that he would only do it twice per week.
The outcome, if Pokimane confronts Mizkif about his choice to stream on Rumble and if he decides to change his mind would be interesting to see. Also, with time we will come to know if any other popular streamers join this recent trend of switching streaming platforms.
