The Grand Finals of the 2022 PUBG Mobile Championship came to a close on January 6th, as the world’s top PUBG Mobile players competed for the coveted championship title. On the same day, the director of PUBG Mobile Esports, James Yang, made a major announcement, revealing the major tournaments for the 2023 season, including two major global events set to take place throughout the year – PMWI 2023 and PMGC 2023. Following this announcement, PUBG Mobile has now officially announced the slot distribution for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023, further building anticipation for one of the biggest esports events of the year. It will be a major international gaming tournament with players from around the world participating. The details of the format and prize pool are yet to be announced, but the distribution of slots has been announced. It will also be the first global event of the year in the world of professional mobile gaming.

This means that for now 20 slots have been confirmed for PMPL South Asia, which is interesting as PMPLs in other regions have 24 slots
