Although we do not have more information about the upcoming PMWI 2022, we can guess some details of the tournament through the last year’s event.
Last year, the PMWI 2021 was held in the month of July. It was held in two parts, the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021: West and the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021: East. Overall, 32 teams from across the world were invited to participate in the event, 16 teams from the West and 16 teams from the East. The East region included teams from Southeast Asia, South Asia, Japan, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, and others. The West region had teams from North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and others.
Both these tournaments were charity events where a massive amount of the prize pool was donated to various humanitarian relief organizations worldwide. For both the PMWI East and West tournaments, the total prize pool was $1.5 million for donations and $80,000 for teams.
