PMWI 2022: PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 has been announced! Check out all the details – PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022 will be a PUBG Mobile tournament sponsored by Sony Xperia, the official smartphone partner of the game. It is going to be the largest PUBG Mobile invitational tournament as teams from around the world will be called to participate.
According to the announcement posted by the official PUBG Mobile Esports Twitter handle, more official news about this upcoming invitational will be released in June. The post also mentioned the other official PUBG Mobile Esports social media accounts that fans and players can follow to get future updates.
Although we do not have more information about the upcoming PMWI 2022, we can guess some details of the tournament through the last year’s event.

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021
Last year, the PMWI 2021 was held in the month of July. It was held in two parts, the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021: West and the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021: East. Overall, 32 teams from across the world were invited to participate in the event, 16 teams from the West and 16 teams from the East. The East region included teams from Southeast Asia, South Asia, Japan, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, and others. The West region included teams from North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and others.
The 16 teams that participated in the PMWI 2022 East were Valdus Esports, Natus Vincere, D’Xavier, Zeus Esports, Bigetron RA, DS Gaming, Yalla Esports, DRS Gaming, REJECT, Blacklist International, A1 Esports, Geek Fam, i8 Esports, NASR Esports, Fanatic Zombies, and Team Myths.
The 16 teams that participated in the PMWI 2022 West were Alpha 7 Esports, Konina Power, Next Ruya Gaming, Road To Glory, Ghost Gaming, 19esports, Chivas Esports, Destiny, Gunz Esports, RA’AD Esports, Team Queso, QLASH, UDR Killers, Lakonostra MVP, Team Onyx, and Godsent.
Both these tournaments were charity events where a massive amount of the prize pool was donated to various humanitarian relief organizations worldwide. For both the PMWI East and West tournaments, the total prize pool was $1.5 million for donations and $80,000 for teams.
The prize money won at the end of the tournaments was donated to organizations like the UNICEF, Gavi The Vaccine Alliance, Direct Relief, and International Medical Corps. While last year’s PMWI was a massive charity event, we have to wait until June to know more about the upcoming PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022.
