Tencent announces PUBG Mobile World invitational with 3M USD charity pool

PMWI 2021: PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021 format revealed, Check Here. PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular battle royale mobile games and is known for its esports plans for professional players. Tencent, the developers of PUBG Mobile introduced PUBG Mobile (PUBGM) World Invitational, the biggest PUBG Mobile tournament this summer. PMWI 2021 will be starting from July 22nd, 2021. It will be a 4-day event with the best teams representing their country.

The event was announced today by Tencent on socials handles of PUBGM. The overall prize pool for the tournament is $3 Million of which maximum will be donated to the socio-economic causes happening around the world. The Gamers without Borders have collaborated with Tencent for the event. One Plus joined them as the official mobile partner whereas Nimo TV became the media partner for this event.

A total of 32 teams will be participating in the event with 16 teams each competing in the east and west region. The east region will feature teams from regions such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, China, and many more. Whereas the west region will feature teams from regions like the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. All PUBG Mobile fans are eager to know the list of teams that will be participating in the tournament. So, we have brought you the live update on the PMWI 2021 teams.

PMWI 2021 Format

A total of 32 teams will be representing their home country with 16 teams each competing in the East and West region. There will be no seeding from this event to any of the PUBG Mobile Esport tournaments such as PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021. There will be individual winners from each region who will emerge as the best team.

A total of 20 matches will be played in a span of four days. The complete event will be played in three maps; Erangel, Sanhok, and Miramar.

Event Date – July 23th – 25th, 2021

  • East – 10:00 AM GMT +0 (5 matches per day)
  • West – 14:30 PM GMT +0 (5 matches per day)

PMWI 2021 is a charity event in partnership with Gamers without Borders. It pools more than $3 million for charity. Besides this, each team will be awarded $5000 for participating in the event. Thus adding the tournament prize pool amount to $80,000 for each region.
