PMIS 2020 – Dates, Format, Prizepool and much more announced

Recently Pubg Mobile announced the PUBG MOBILE India Series 2020. It is the flagship tournament for the amateur and semi-pro players that want to enter in pubg mobile esports competitive scene. PMIS 2020 is the second edition of the series that started last year in the month of March.

Team Soul won the PMIS 2019 last year with God’s Reign coming to the first runnerup. The prize pool of the tournament was 52,00,000 INR in which the winning team took 30,00,000 INR home. The registration for the event will start from May 6th 2020 on the official site of Pubg Mobile India. The site has been updated and you can register for the tournament from May 6th. The Prize Pool for the PMIS 2020 is 50,00,000 INR. As compared to the prize pool of the last year the amount has been decreased by 2,00,000 INR.


The format of the tournament is as follows

  • Soon the In-Game Qualifiers will begin where the teams will show their skills in a total of 15 matches that are to be played in span of 5 days.
  • The teams best 10 games will be considered for evaluation of the ranking.
  • Out of all the teams registered only top 248 teams with the highest scores will move into phase 1 of the online qualifiers.
  • Out of the 248 teams and 8 invited professionals teams, top 56 teams will move into the quarterfinals where they will compete along with the 8 more invited professionals teams that are currently ruling the Indian esports making the total to 64 teams.
  • 32 teams will make their way into the semifinals.
  • Finally, the top 16 teams will compete in the finals.

The tournament will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of Pubg Mobile India but we can hope the finals to be an offline event if the danger of COVID 19 gets reduced in the upcoming days.
