Fans of PUBG Mobile from all over the world are eagerly anticipating the competition between the best teams from across the world for the ultimate crown. According to the year’s schedule, the PMGC 2022 will be held in December and January 2023. For the title of global champions, top teams from around the world will compete. There are no specifics about the format yet but we have got some insights about team selection criteria for PMGC 2022.
Team Selection Criteria of PMGC 2022
The qualification process for this year’s Global Championship is a little different. Teams from all across the world will compete in their respective nations’ Pro Leagues, with teams chosen based on the PMGC points system. Teams will be judged on their performance during the two seasons of the PMPL (League Stage and Finals). Through PMGC points, a single club from each of the twelve regions operating their domestic Pro Leagues will qualify for PMGC 2022.

Teams for PMGC 2022 will be selected on the bases of PMGC Qualification Points. PMGC Qualification Points are accumulated for the team by combining total points earned from PMPL League Super Weekend and PMPL Finals in both 2022 PMPL seasons. Team(s) with the highest PMGC Qualification Points from each region qualify for PMGC. As of now, PMGC Qualification Points Rule is only for PMPL Africa, Arabia, North America, Turkey, and West Europe.
PMGC 2022 will be a LAN event:
The championship’s format, whether online or LAN, has yet to be determined. Earlier this year, James Yang, the director of PUBG Mobile Esports, stated that the organizers will make every effort to stage a LAN competition this year. A recent report from Dot Esports states that Tencent appeared to announce that the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 will be a LAN event. The firm is giving away two tickets to the PMGC 2022 in a new offer as part of PUBG Mobile’s fourth Anniversary Sweepstakes, hinting that it would most likely be played offline.
