After the PUBG Mobile World League season 0 held online, every PUBG Mobile fans are waiting for crossover between Chinese and global teams. Now the wish of each fan come true they will witness a fabulous event in November. Tencent Games and VSPN brings together Peacekeeper Elite Championship aka PEC 2020.
Peacekeeper Elite Championship is a World Championship of “Peacekeeper Elite” a Chinese rebranded version of “PUBG Mobile” (also known as “Game for Peace“). Out of a total of 15 teams, 13 best teams will be invited from all over the world and top 2 from the Chinese-based Peacekeeper Elite League. Last year Peacekeeper Elite Championship( PEC) 2019 had the prize pool of $429,646 USD. Which was won by Team X-Quest F presently known as Nova Esports. The complete championship was dominated by the Chinese teams as the top 3 rankings were taken by the Chinese teams.
Pubg PEC (Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2019) is scheduled to be hosted from mid-November in Shanghai, China.
STATEMENT
According to Official Invites to teams, “PEC is a tournament espousing the highest level of competition for the battle royale game in China, and Peace Elite which is strikingly similar to PUBG MOBILE. We would like to invite the top 13 teams from international regions together with 2 Chinese teams from PEL to engage in this battlefield of the braves. On this stage, teams will use their best performance, vision, and strategy, and share a passion with the fans of PUBG MOBILE as well as Peace Elite. ”
The first team who confirmed the invitation is BOX GAMING. Box Gaming is runner up of league stage in PUBG Mobile World League Season 0: EAST, And secure the 4th rank in grand finals of PMWL season 0: East.
According to some sources, out 13 international teams 4 South-East Asian, 3 from South Asian, 2 from East Asian and 4 teams from the Western region will be invited in the championship. Now it will be very exciting to watch, whether Chinese teams will once again dominate the event or we could see any international team lifting up the trophy.
Update – The dates for the PEC 2020 has been announced in the Tencent Global Esport Summit 2020. The executive members of the event revealed the championship dates starting from November 13th-15th, 2020. It will be a LAN event at the Shaghai oriental sports center.
