Palworld achieves 2 million sales on Steam in 24 hours of release – The quirky monster-collecting game Palworld has exploded in popularity since its launch on January 19, selling over 3 million copies in just the first 40 hours.
Dubbed “Pokémon with guns” for its premise of capturing and battling creatures while also wielding firearms, Palworld quickly shot to the top of the Steam charts. It became both the best-selling game on the platform and one of the most played, with over 500,000 concurrent players at its peak.

Beyond Steam, developer Pocket Pair has revealed Palworld sold over 2 million copies in its first 24 hours across all platforms. This adds up to over 3 million sales in the first day and a half after release.
The game combines crafting, base-building, exploration, and third-person shooting mechanics alongside its creature collecting gameplay loop. Players can recruit Pal creatures for battle, but also utilize them for labor, farming resources, and other tasks.
