The open-world sandbox survival game is set within a post-apocalyptic world ruled by alien creatures called Stardust. Once Human was first announced last year during NetEase Connects 2022, the studio’s annual event.
After a period of relative silence following closed beta tests, developers are set to host another beta on December 7, 2023, allowing eager players a preview of the challenges and mysteries that await. The latest gameplay trailer unveils a host of upcoming content, offering glimpses into intense battles against monstrous foes and showcasing intriguing elements, such as a surreal monster hand suspended in the sky and mysteriously repairing ruins.

What We Currently Know About Once Human
The latest trailer not only highlights the adrenaline-pumping combat but also introduces key gameplay mechanics. Acknowledging the stress of survival, Once Human provides moments of respite, allowing players to unwind through activities like fishing. Casting lines into serene waters, survivors can reel in a catch while navigating the intricacies of the alien-infested landscape.
In addition, the trailer also features certain gameplay mechanics to look out for. Fighting to survive is quite a stressful task and players will feel the need to relax every once in a while. That’s where fishing comes in. Players can cast their lines into still water and catch some fish. Another option is to drive around in an RV, exploring the post-apocalyptic landscape that still has some beautiful patches.
