Mortal Wants Official Esports Tournaments of Rocket League in India: MortaL recently called for the launch of an official Rocket League esports presence in India in a tweet. Rocket League has received some attention at local esports events in India, but if esports athlete Naman ‘MortaL’ Mathur gets his way, official tournaments for the game might be conducted soon.
India has a long history with Rocket League esports. Despite the lack of a region or teams competing at the highest level, India boasts a large number of grassroots competitions. Unfortunately, the Rocket League market in the Region has not yet grown. Within the country, there is still a significant disparity in prize pools for its competitions, especially when compared to esports titles like VALORANT, Free Fire, or even PUBG Mobile/BGMI.
MortaL showed interest in hosting formal competitions for the game in the country on Twitter, predicting that if the game has official recognition, it will attract a large audience. In s statement mortal said
“Would love to have Rocket league officials tournaments in India. Not only do we have good players but also the craze to watch this game will definitely be among top charts. Also I’m pretty sure Esports orgs will come up with their own teams to compete. “
