NRG Esports, professional gaming, and entertainment company headquartered in Los Angeles, California re-entered the League of Legends scene by acquiring the roster of GAM Esports. GAM Esports is one of the best League of Legends teams in Vietnam, the squad qualified for Mid Season Invitational 2021 ( MSI 2021). Because of the travel restrictions, they could not reach Iceland to participate in one of the biggest events of the League of Legends.

GAM Esports is the defending champion of VCS ( Vietnamese League of Legends regional) who has been acquired by NRG. NRG partnered with CMG.Asia, a Vietnamese entertainment company to form the NRG Asia project. This team acquisition is part of the project, it is expected that the North American organization will provide a great facility for the players where they will get quality training and more.
NRG is not only back in the League of Legends scene but also they will be re-entering with style. The acquisition of GAM Esports is a great call from the organization which is possibly the best Vietnamese League of Legends team in history. This team is participating in the League of Legends competition since 2017, in 2018 it got rebranded to GAM Esports. The team has become the champion of VCS two times and finished in second place in the two others.
GAM Esports had got qualified for the 2019 League of Legends Championship, where they have shown aggressive playstyle which impressed the audience. GAM Esports also qualified for the last year’s Worlds. They also qualified for the ongoing Mid Season Invitational 2021 ( MSI2021) but couldn’t attend the event due to travel restrictions.
