No teams were chosen for the first Warzone 2 match; instead, NICKMERCS was matched with compatriots FaZe members Scope and Smixie. Following some recent issues with the party chat, the group eventually got their groove and worked as a cohesive one with some fantastic interaction.
While attempting to understand the new circle system, that marks various safe zones until they finally merge into one, the squad handled it smart and diplomatically even during the middle of the game.
As when the game’s last 20 players came on, the team was still performing admirably when Nick spotted numerous opponents approaching and exclaimed: “There’s gonna be a fight here.”
Scope and Smixie managed to get a few kills in, with Smixie going on a 5-Killstreak. Nick was faced with a 1v3 situation following a frantic last few seconds in which Scope and Smixie were eliminated.
Scope offered some excellent communications despite being down to help Nick identify the final opponent who shot them dead and secured the dub for the squad. An excited Nick shouted “Let’s go!” from across the arena in an attempt to locate his friends.
“First game, first dub,” Nick stated as his video wrapped off in style.
Upon defeating several of the finest players in the world, including Aydan, Swagg, and many others, NICKMERCS has often stated his eagerness for Warzone 2. This victory may be just the beginning of many victories for Nick in Warzone 2.
