Niantic and The Pokemon Company release dates for the Pokemon GO Fest 2022 – Niantic has announced a Pokemon GO annual community gathering event for this year. It is called Pokemon Go Fest and it will be returning after 2 years. The last time, Pokemon GO Fest was held back in 2019. Now, it will be organized in the summer of 2022. It will be a two-day global event that will take place on the 4th and 5th of June. There will also be in-game events be held in the cities of Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo.
Pokemon GO Fest was modified to be an online-only and playable-from-home event over the past two years. This year’s Pokemon GO Fest 2022 will also be playable online during its two-day event in June. Niantic and The Pokemon Company will also hold a “bonus finale event” on the 27th of August. Further details about this event will be provided in the future. All these events of Pokemon GO will probably be related to the next season as the current Season of Aloha ends on 1st June.
The in-person Pokemon GO Fest 2022 events will be held at the following places (the dates have also been mentioned):
- 1st till 3rd July at Berlin, Germany
- 22nd till 24th July at Seattle, Washington
- 5th till 7th August at Sapporo, Japan
Niantic did give any details about the ticket sales for these events. Further details will most probably be released at a later date.
The first Fest was held in the year 2017., That year, it was held in the city of Chicago in Illinois. Although there were a lot of glitches, a lot of players attended it live. The second GO Fest was again held in Chicago in 2018 and it provided a smoother experience for the players. The last Pokemon GO Fest was held in 2019 and this time there were multiple cities participating like Chicago in the US, Yokohama in Japan, and Dortmund in Germany. After a hiatus of 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will now be held again in 2022.
