The Nepal Esports Association opened registration for esports qualifiers on April 7, in order to choose a Nepalese team for the upcoming Asian Games, where the discipline would make its debut. The Nepal Esports Association announced on Wednesday that registrations for the Nepal Qualifiers 2022 are now open, with esports being included as a medal event for the first time at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou from September 10 to 25, according to the Nepal Esports Association’s official Facebook page. The last date of registration hasn’t been decided yet.
The national championships will include popular titles such as PUBG Mobile, Hearthstone, FIFA22, and Arena of Valor. There has been no additional word on the remaining games, such as Street Fighter V and Dota 2. After the registration period will, nation wide qualifiers will commence.

Esports Federation of India has opened registrations for the qualifiers of the Road to Asian Games 2022.
The 2022 Asian Games will have its own esports program which will feature 8 gaming titles. All of these games will be medal events where the teams from the participating countries will compete. To ensure that all the countries participating in the Asian Games 2022 have a chance, the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) is holding a Road to Asian Games 2022. This allows the countries to prepare for the regional qualifiers as well as the ultimate performance in Asian Games.
No Virtual Shooting in PUBG Mobile Asian Games
PUBG Mobile or the Asian Version of PUBG Mobile, which was adopted as an official event during this year’s Hangzhou Asian Games in China, has had the shooting feature removed. This is because ‘person-to-person shooting,’ a key component of the PUBG game, was banned due to concerns that it would undermine friendly relations among nations.
