Mumbai City FC, the defending Indian Super League (ISL) champions, unveiled their official Esports team on Thursday. Following today’s announcement, Mumbai City FC became the first Indian football club to field a team in the FIFA Global Series, recognizing the global reach of Esports and its capacity to bring fans closer to the club.
According to a press statement released by the club, Mumbai City FC has become the first Indian football club to field a team in the FIFA Global Series. Saksham ‘Sakky’ Rattan and Siddh ‘Jenasidfc’ Chandarana have joined Mumbai City and will compete in FIFA 22 events across the country and internationally, including the FIFA Global Series, in both 1v1 and 2v2 games.
“We are certain that we have obtained the services of two highly outstanding FIFA players who will help our club achieve great things on an international scale and establish a strong platform for Mumbai City to grow its Esports efforts in the future,” stated Kandarp Chandra, CEO of Mumbai City FC.

Saksham and Siddh, who are ranked third and fifth in India, have competed in and won a number of international competitions while representing their country, including the FIFA eNations Series and the ESL Asia Cup.
