We saw four teams perform their best to stay alive in the competition. Ultimately, it was the LLA and CBLOL representatives that came out on top to advance further in the tournament. Here is a highlight of all the games that happened on MSI 2023 Play-In Stage Day 4.

MSI 2023 Play-In Stage Day 4: Rainbow7 and LOUD win to stay alive in the Lower Bracket of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational

In the first series, Rainbow7 took on GAM Esports while LOUD competed against DetonatioN FocusMe in the second series.

Rainbow7 vs GAM Esports

This series was one of the most flip-flopping ones that League of Legends fans have seen in a long time. In the first two games, both teams secured a lead multiple times until they made a mistake and lost it. The first game was won by R7 while GAM took the second game to equalize the series.

It all came down to the third game. Fortunately, R7 managed to grasp the lead in this game and keep it until they eventually secured victory. It was a historic moment for the LLA region as it marked their first-ever victory on the international stage.

LOUD vs DetonatioN FocusMe

The second series was a much more organized one. We saw LOUD showcasing their talent as they completely dominated DFM in both games. LOUD looked more cohesive in teamfights which helped them get kills and secure objectives. Despite some momentary outplays by DFM, they were not able to stop LOUD as the CBLOL representatives secured a comfortable 2-0 victory.

LOUD and Rainbow7’s victories have kept them alive in the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. Tomorrow, they will face PSG Talon and Golden Guardians respectively.

Unfortunately, the journey of the defeated teams (GAM Esports and DetonatioN FocusMe) has ended in the Mid-Season Invitational this year.

Stay tuned with us as we bring you the latest updates regarding League of Legends and the ongoing MSI 2023.
