MSI 2023 Play-In Stage Day 1: PSG and G2 clean sweep their opponents on the first day of MSI 2023 – The first day of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2023 kicked off today. Fans saw the four teams in Bracket B of the Play-In Stage compete against each other to move forward in the tournament. Ultimately, it was PSG Talon and G2 Esports that emerged victorious against their enemies today. Let us take a look at the two series that were held today.

Four teams in Bracket B competed on the first day of the Play-In Stage. In the first series, PSG Talon and DetonatioN FocusMe while the second series was between G2 Esports and LOUD.

PSG Talon vs Detonation Focusme
In the first match, PSG build up a steady lead throughout the game and achieved all map objectives. DFM failed to stop their momentum which cost them the game.
DFM still tried to compete with PSG in game 2 and took the game to near about 50 minutes. Yet, they still failed as PSG won the series by a 2-0 margin.
G2 Esports vs Loud
LOUD had a good early start in the first game but G2 showed resilience and bounced back. Thanks to some exceptional performances by BrokenBlade and Yike, G2 closed the game to take the lead in the series.
The second game was a one-sided stomp by G2. With their aggressive playstyle, G2 was able to catch LOUD unaware multiple times. This dominant gameplay allowed them to win the game in 20 minutes and win the series by 2-0.
Fans were exhilarated to see some incredible League of Legends action on the first day of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. Tomorrow, the four teams of Bracket A will face each other in the Play-In Stage Day 2.
