MSI 2023: JDG halts BLG hype-train to win the 2023 LPL Spring Championship – The 2023 LPL Spring Season drew to a close with JDG and BLG duking it out in the Grand Finals. League fans saw some amazing gameplay as JDG outplayed BLG to secure a 3-1 series win and get crowned as the 2023 LPL Spring champions. Here is how everything went down.

JDG has been in top form throughout the season and was a fan-favorite in the series. Although BLG had silenced its critics by taking down top teams to reach the finals, the team failed to perform its magic in the finals. JDG’s ADC Ruler made quite an impact in the series and was named the Finals MVP.

Game 1
In the first game, JDG’s ADC Ruler played outplayed his enemy counterpart to give his team a lead in the series. He went 7/0/9 on his Jinx pick and completely crushed any comeback attempts by BLG.
Game 2
In the second game, BLG’s lineup draft faltered against JDG in teamfights. BLG also made many mistakes which helped JDG to win the game within 23 minutes, making it the fastest match in the 2023 LPL Spring Playoffs.

Game 3
BLG finally found a respite in the third game and this time, the team performed splendidly. BLG’s jungle XUN impressed the most in his Vi pick and he was also supported by Bin’s Gwen and Elk’s Xayah. Overall it was a good team effort that helped BLG register its first victory in the series.
Game 4
Despite dropping a game, JDG still had momentum which showed in this game. With Kanavi, Knight, and Ruler on their comfort champion picks, JDG looked unstoppable. Although BLG tried to mount up a defense, it was all for naught as JDG destroyed the enemy nexus to register a 3-1 series win.

By lifting the Silver Dragon Cup, JDG successfully defends its LPL title. JDG and BLG also become the two LPL teams that will go and participate in the MSI 2023 tournament in London.
Out of the 13 teams participating in the MSI 2023, we now know that 10 teams have qualified for the tournament.
