MSI 2022 Semifinals Day 2: T1 clean sweeps G2 Esports to book a spot in the Grand Finals – The second Semifinals of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2022 saw T1 and G2 Esports competing against each other. Both teams had a good form in the earlier stages but it looked like T1 was more prepared for this matchup. They defeated G2 in a spectacular fashion, winning the best-of-5 match series by 3-0. Here is an overview of the three matches that took place.
1st Match:
T1 went with Gwen, Viego, Tristana, Xayah, and Renata Glasc while G2 picked Gangplank, Jarvan IV, Galio, Aphelios, and Pyke. T1 completely outperformed them as they took all the map objectives throughout the game. G2 was never able to bridge the gold gap and they got stomped by T1. T1 ended the match in 24 minutes with a 13-7 kill score against G2.

2nd Match:
For the second match, G2 picked Sion, Viego, Ahri, Aphelios, and Braum. T1 chose Lee Sin, LeBlanc, Xayah, Nautilus, and Yone. Both teams were quite equal in the early and middle stages of the game. G2 was able to somewhat counter T1’s aggressive playstyle in the early game and get some map objectives in the mid-game. But after taking the first Baron Nashor, T1 was able to turn the game in their favor. T1 won the match in 32 minutes with an 18-11 kill score against G2.

3rd Match:
At match point, T1 picked Gnar, Lee Sin, Akali, Xayah, and Renata Glasc. G2 went with Nocturne, Ornn, Miss Fortune, Zoe, and Karma. In this matchup, the core champions of T1 shined. They beat their G2 counterparts in the jungle, middle, and bottom lane. T1 was more clinical in team fights and with the help of their superior form, they ended the game in 20 minutes with a 22-5 kill score against G2.
