MSI 2022 Rumble Stage Day 4: Royal Never Give Up qualifies for Knockout Stage – While Royal Never Give Up was able to qualify for the Knockout Stage today, Saigon Buffalo was unfortunately eliminated from the tournament. But unexpected results have kept the remaining 4 teams in the race for the last 3 qualifying spots. Let us take a look at today’s matchups.
1st Match: PSG Talon vs G2 Esports
PSG picked up Rell, Tristana, Lee Sin, Kennen, and Syndra while G2 went with Gwen, Poppy, Corki, Nautilus, and Kalista. PSG played aggressively from the start which helped them in getting almost every objective. From the mid-game, the PSG’s gold lead was so much that G2 failed to make a comeback even when they took the first Baron Nashor. PSG won the game in 33 minutes with an 18-8 kill score against G2 Esports.

2nd Match: T1 vs Evil Geniuses
T1 took Gwen, Lee Sin, Zoe, Kalista, and Taric while EG got Gangplank, Nocturne, Galio, Nautilus, and Jinx. T1 was ahead in the early and mid-game as they got almost all the map objectives. But two bad gameplays from T1 at the Baron pit allowed EG to steal the Barons and make what looked like an unlikely comeback. EG won the game in 32 minutes with a 22-11 kill score against T1.
3rd Match: Saigon Buffalo vs Royal Never Give Up
Saigon chose Akali, Lee Sin, Ahri, Xayah, and Nautilus while RNG went with Gwen, Viego, Vex, Tristana, and Leona. RNG had a good early and mid-game, picking kills as well as map objectives. But Saigon almost made a comeback when they were able to get the first Baron Nashor at 28 minutes. But RNG somehow managed to hold on and make a counter comeback to register a win. RNG ended the game at 35 minutes with a 19-25 kill score against Saigon.
4th Match: G2 Esports vs T1
For this match, G2 picked Graves, LeBlanc, Jhin, Rakan, and Gangplank. T1 chose Ahri, Viego, Nautilus, Aphelios, and Rumble. G2 got a lead in the early game, but T1 was able to wrestle back and pick up turrets and kills. By winning key team fights and pushing continuously, T1 won the game in 21 minutes with an 18-9 kill score against G2.
5th Match: Saigon Buffalo vs PSG Talon
Saigon went with Camille, Trundle, Shen, Ahri, and Kaisa while PSG chose Ornn, Graves, Vex, Tristana, and Rell. Saigon looked determined and gave their all even when PSG took a slight lead in the early game. But the off-meta picks of Saigon helped them in winning team fights and secure objectives from the mid-game. They ousted PSG and won their first game in the Rumble Stage of Mid-Season Invitational 2022. Saigon won at 28 minutes with a 15-9 kill score against PSG.
