MSI 2022 Rumble Stage Day 3: G2 faced defeat twice and RNG take the top spot on the table- The win streak of G2 Esports finally ended as they lost both of their games that were held on Day 3 of MSI 2022 Rumble Stage.  Now Royal Never Give Up has overtaken them on the table. Here is a brief overview of the six matches that were held.

1st Match: Evil Geniuses vs T1

T1 went with Gangplank, Graves, Sylas, Senna, and Nautilus. Evil Geniuses picked Gwen, Viego, Twisted Fate, Ezreal, and Bard. This game was dictated by the jungle and top lane difference as EG failed at these roles while T1 performed brilliantly. Moreover, T1 got almost all of the map objectives and ended the game after taking the first Baron Nashor. T1 won in 25 minutes with a 12-4 kill score against EG.

2nd Match: G2 Esports vs PSG Talon

For this match, G2 picked Aatrox, Viego, LeBlanc, Kalista, and Gragas while PSG took Ornn, Lee Sin, Rell, Tristana, and Lissandra. Both teams were neck-to-neck in the early games, getting an equal number of map objectives. As G2 started to snowball, PSG was able to stop them successfully this time and turn the match in their favor. PSG picked the first Baron Nashor buff and finally ended the G2 dominance in this tournament. PSG ended the game in 27 minutes with a 12-4 kill score against G2.

3rd Match: Royal Never Give Up vs Saigon Buffalo

Saigon picked Gwen, Viego, Malzahar, Tristana, and Leona while RNG took Wukong, Jax, Viktor, Kalista, and Nautilus. RNG had created a significant gold lead in the game which Saigon was never able to overcome. While Saigon was able to extend the match into the late game, it did not work in their favor. RNG picked the first Baron Nashor, completed Soul Dragon and then ended the game in 35 minutes with a 12-7 kill score.

4th Match: T1 vs PSG Talon

For this match, T1 chose Kalista, Gragas, Twisted Fate, Lee Sin, and Gangplank while PSG picked Rell, Tristana, Galio, Viego, and Gwen. Till the mid-game, both teams focused on picking up objectives. But T1 was able to slightly build up the gold lead even though PSG was not far behind them in the number of kills. The massive gold lead proved too much for PSG to handle and T1 won the game in 34 minutes with a 14-12 kill score.

5th Match: Royal Never Give Up vs G2 Esports

G2 took Riven, Viego, LeBlanc, Ezreal, and Yuumi while RNG chose Gwen, Lee Sin, Ahri, Xayah, and Rakan. G2 looked to be out of form in this match as they conceded quite a bit of objective and kills in face of RNG’s aggressive playstyle. After RNG took the first Baron Nashor, they were unstoppable and ended the game at 26 minutes with a 15-6 kill score.

6th Match: Evil Geniuses vs Saigon Buffalo

EG picked up Ornn, Kai’sa, Alistar, Sylas, and Wukong while Saigon went for Nocturne, Kennen, Ezreal, Leona, and Veigar. The gold difference between the two teams was narrow as they picked up an equal number of objectives. Saigon was even able to gain a slight gold lead over EG in the mid-game. But EG focused on taking objectives and even won a lot of team fights which helped them to bounce back and gain a 12K+ gold lead. EG ended the game 32 minutes with a 28-11 kill score against Saigon.
