MSI 2022 Rumble Stage Day 2: G2 Esports continue their win streak while T1 falls against RNG – On the second day of the Rumble Stage at MSI 2022, G2 Esports remain undefeated. Royal Never Give Up beat T1, showing their strength in this tournament. Let us take a quick look at the 6 matches that were played today.
1st Match: G2 Esports vs Evil Geniuses
G2 went with their comfort lineup of Ornn, Wukong, LeBlanc, Kai’sa, and Nautilus. EG went slight off-meta with Mordekaiser, Lee Sin, Ryze, Ezreal, and Leona. EG gave stiff competition to G2 as both teams had similar gold and objectives in the early and mid-game. It was in the 29th minute that G2 was able to take Baron Nashor and snowball from there. G2 won the game in 33 minutes with a 16-8 kill score against EG.
2nd Match: Royal Never Give Up vs PSG Talon
RNG picked Nocturne, Gwen, Ahri, Tristana, and Nautilus while PSG went for Vladimir, Lee Sin, Vex, Kalista, and Renata Glasc. Both teams were neck-to-neck in the early game. It is only after taking the first Baron Nashor that things turned in RNG’s favor. They kept taking map objectives which helped them to win the game after killing the second Baron Nashor. RNG won in 31 minutes with a 11-3 kill score against PSG.
3rd Match: T1 vs Saigon Buffalo
T1 picked Ahri, Ezreal, Vi, Gwen, and Braum for this match. Saigon went with an off-meta lineup of Kennen, Kalista, Akali, Nocturne, and Nautilus. While the early game looked a little bit favorable to Saigon as they picked the first kill, T1 retaliated by taking 1st tower in 12 minutes. From there, they kept on winning map objectives, winning the game after taking the first Baron Nashor. T11 won the map quickly within 22 minutes, having a 20-6 kill score against Saigon.
4th Match: PSG Talon vs Evil Geniuses
PSG picked Gnar, Graves, Ahri, Ezreal, and Rakan while EG went with Tryndamere, Lee Sin, LeBlanc, Kai’sa, and Leona. PSG were able to keep the gold deficit narrow till 20 minutes. But after EG took Soul, the first Baron, and Elder Dragon, it proved too much for PSG to handle. EG ended the game just before 35 minutes with a 19-3 kill score against PSG.
5th Match: Royal Never Give Up vs T1
This was one of the key highlight matches of the day, RNG picked Camille, Volibear, Ahri, Kai’sa, and Nautilus. T1 went with Gwen, Zoe, Xin Zhao, Ezreal, and Leona. T1 got a lead in the early game by picking up the 1st kill and taking down the 1st tower. While RNG tried to close the lead, it was maintained by T1 and they even got the first Baron Nashor. But RNG were able to execute a comeback getting the second Baron Nashor and ending the game. RNG won the game in 32 minutes with a 24-14 kill score against T1.
6th Match: Saigon Buffalo vs G2 Esports
This was also a one-sided game as Saigon was not able to put too much pressure on G2 Esports. Saigon chose Vayne, Viego, Twisted Fate, Vladimir, and Senna. G2 went with Graves, Sion, Ahri, Ezreal, and Bard. G2 were clinical in their ambushes and took down almost every map objective in the game. After taking the first Baron Nashor, G2 ended the game in 23 minutes with a 22-6 kill score against Saigon.
