MSI 2022 Day 3: RNG, G2 Esports, and T1 continue their win streaks in Mid-Season Invitational 2022 – It looks like the first place in each group has already been decided. RNG, G2 Esports, and T1 have remained undefeated and will look to continue it in the tournament. The remaining teams will now fight for the 2nd spot in their groups so that they can qualify for the Rumble Stage of MSI 2022.

MSI 2022 Day 3: RNG, G2 Esports, and T1 continue their win streaks in Mid-Season Invitational 2022

1st Match: Order vs Evil Geniuses

This match was similar to the last confrontation between the two teams. Evil Geniuses (EG) were aggressive from the start of the game, constantly invading Order’s jungle area and lanes. The late-game scaling champions of Order were slain multiple times, making them lag in creep score and gold against EG champions. This resulted in EG coming on top of Order in team fights. EG won the game in the 24th minute with an 18-5 kill score against Order.

2nd Match: G2 Esports vs Order

Order’s decision to pick off-meta champions like Zed and Evelynn did not work against the more experienced G2 lineup. G2 was more clinical in their team fights and ambushes, making it impossible for Order to mount a comeback after they fell behind. G2 won the match against Order in 24 minutes with an 18-7 kill score.

3rd Match: PSG Talon vs Istanbul Wildcats

PSG Talon looked prepared as they picked champions that countered Istanbul Wildcats (IW) draft lineup. While the early game was quite equal, PSG was able to win a lot of team fights in the mid-game that gave them a massive lead on IW. PSG won their first game at MSI 2022 by defeating IW in 23 minutes with an 18-4 kill score.

4th Match: Royal Never Give Up vs RED Canids

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) looked to continue their win streak with their better draft. The mix of crowd control, early game damage, and scaling champions helped them overcome RED’s late-game scaling heroes. RED Canids also kept making misplays which deteriorated their position in team fights, allowing RNG to even pick up a Pentakill. RNG won the game in 27 minutes with a 30-9 kill score.

5th Match: Saigon Buffalo vs Team Aze

In this game, Team Aze’s early aggression did not bear many results as Saigon Buffalo (SGB) was able to counter it. Later, SGB were meticulous with their rotations and team fights, enabling them to get objectives easily against Aze. SGB finished the game easily with their lead, closing it at 20 minutes with a 20-7 kill score.

6th Match: T1 vs DetonatioN FocusMe

This was an exciting match even though T1 came on top at the end. T1 was phenomenal in their ambushes and team fights, but there were moments where DetonatioN FocusMe was able to reverse the situation. But the lack of objectives earned, as well as lagging behind in gold made it impossible for DFM to make a comeback. T1 aced DFM and ended the game in 24 minutes with a 26-11 kill score.
