Mountain Dew partners with PMPL South Asia as Official drink beverage

Pubg Mobile Esports has announced its partnership with soft drink brand Mountain Dew for the Pubg Mobile Pro League (PMPL) South Asia.

The event is scheduled to resume from 22nd May to 14th June which got delayed by few weeks due to COVID 19 outbreak. The tournament has been shifted from the LAN event to online format seeing the effect of coronavirus pandemic all over the world.

The partnership between the two companies i.e. Pubg Mobile and Mountain Dew, owned by PepsiCo are to become the official beverage partner of the event. The company became the “premium sponsor” of the league which can be seen in the latest released announcement by the organizer featuring the Mountain Dew logo.

A total of 20 teams will be competing in the regular season of the league from which the top 3 teams will directly qualify for the Pubg Mobile World League Eastern region. Moreover, top 2 teams from the finals will get the slot in the World League adding to the total of 5 teams from South Asia region. The prize pool for the PMPL South Asia is $200,000.

The teams have been grinding hard for this event for a long time. With the announcement of the commencement of the league and the addition of Mountain Dew as the sponsor for the league the players are pumped up to show their skills in the battlefield.
