Microsoft announces Xbox Returns to Tokyo Game Show 2021, Check Dates and more details. Xbox is set to make a virtual presence via a showcase at the Tokyo Game Show 2021, according to the Tokyo Game Show 2021 schedule outlined last week. Earlier today, Microsoft announced when it will air the showcase. The company announced on its Xbox Wire blog today that the virtual stream will take place on Thursday, September 30 at 6 p.m.
Additionally, the company revealed some details about what can be expected during the stream. Bringing people closer through games, we encourage players to celebrate gaming with us and celebrate the joy of community that gaming brings,” the blog post states. “As was the case last year, our show will be catered to players across Asia and specifically Japan. There will be a celebration with our Asia community and local relevant updates, but there will be no world premieres.”

There will probably not be a “World Premiere” at the showcase. The Xbox site also says you can expect the “latest regionally relevant updates for previously announced games” later this year. Even so, there will still be some premieres and the like as part of the Tokyo Game Show event. At last year’s show, we saw the first gameplay of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, new Monster Hunter Rise gameplay, and more.
The full schedule of Livestream events for TGS 2021 can be found on the official website if you’re interested in seeing what else will be shown beyond Xbox. As part of the show, Microsoft will stream live, and it will also be available in Japan, Korea, and China on Xbox’s social channels.
