Microsoft and Palword collaborate for the official marketing of Xbox
Microsoft is going to collaborate with Palworld and use the IP as official marketing materials for its Xbox consoles. On Feb. 2, the official X account of Xbox tweeted, “Fun fact: @XboxGamePass comes with Pals.” There was also a picture attached which showcased the three available versions of the Xbox Series X|S and various Pals from the game in the background.

This move by Microsoft can be considered a good one as players seems to be hooked with the game. Palworld was an instant hit on Game Pass and allowed Microsoft to get their hands on a franchise that could rise up to rival Nintendo’s Pokemon.
According to Steam Charts, Palworld continues to have an average player count of more than 1 million since its release on Jan. 19. To accommodate such huge traffic, Microsoft has agreed to help Palworld scale up by providing studio engineering resources and dedicated servers. This will improve the game’s performance as well as help developers sustain the high maintenance costs needed to provide services to so many players.
Neither Nintendo or The Pokemon Company has sued Palworld yet for copyright infringement. But an official statement was released that the company is conducting an investigation to check if any assets were copied by Palworld devs.
Anyways, it seems as if Microsoft wants to hop onto the Palwold hype bandwagon and make the most of it while wishing for its long-term success.
