M3 World Championship 2021 Day 2: ONIC PH and TODAK top Group B while ONIC Esports face major upsets. Day 2 of the M3 World Championship had many unbelievable moments as no team was able to win all their games. Moreover, one of the favorites of the tournament, ONIC Esports faced double upsets from Vivo Keyd and Todak. Here is how everything went down on Day 2.

M3 World Championship 2021 Day 2: ONIC PH and TODAK top Group B while ONIC Esports face major upsets
ONIC Philippines
ONIC Philippines went against their counterparts, ONIC Esports from Indonesia, in their first match. They had a sizeable lead throughout the game but made a mistake in the last moment and ONIC Esports capitalized on it by winning the game. In their second match against TODAK, the opponents’ off-meta picks did not work. TODAK was not able to take objectives easily and ONIC PH won the match after they took down the second lord. In their last match against Vivo Keyd, they got a good early game lead. After taking down the first lord, they were able to finish the game within 12 minutes. ONIC Philippines stand at the top of Group B with a 2-1 score. They are ahead of TODAK as they had defeated them earlier in the day.
TODAK
TODAK went against Vivo Keyd in their first match. TODAK’s hero lineup was better and they were able to catch Vivo Keyd off-guard multiple times. TODAk finally wiped them out and won the game in the 16th minute. In their second match against ONIC Philippines, they went for off-meta hero picks. This did not help them as they were not able to take objectives easily. ONIC Philippines won this match against them. Their final match was against ONIC Esports. While ONIC was ahead in the early and mid-game, their mistakes in the late-game team fights cost them dearly as TODAK won this match. TODAK takes 2nd place in Group B with a 2-1 score.
Keyd Stars
The representatives from Brazil will be the talk of the day because of their ultimate comeback against one of the tournament favorites. In their first match against TODAK, they were out-drafted by the opponents. TODAK also played very well in the game and won it with ease. It was their second match against ONIC Esports where Keyd Stars showed the potential of their region. While ONIC had a slight lead against them, Keyd Stars outplayed them in the team fight for the third lord and closed the game in their favor. In their final match against ONIC Philippines, Keyd Stars was not able to carry their momentum from the earlier match. ONIC PH won this game within 12 minutes. Keyd Stars finished 3rd in Group B with a 1-2 score, thanks to their win against ONIC Esports.
ONIC Esports
As one of the tournament favorites, there were a lot of expectations from them. In their first match against ONIC Philippines, ONIC Esports was able to come back and win after punishing their opponents for a mistake in the late game. In their second match against Vivo Keyd, ONIC built up and maintained a sizeable lead throughout the game. But in their fight for the third lord, they were outplayed by Vivo Keyd and lost the match to them. In their final match against TODAK, it was a similar story, ONIC was ahead in the early and mid-game but their mistakes in the late game cost them the match. With this defeat, they are placed 4th in Group B with a 1-2 score.
