The eventual winners Luminosity Gaming had a dominant run throughout the tournament. In the Group Stage, they clinched the top spot to qualify for Playoffs, dropping only one game to Indian representatives S8UL Esports. Luminosity also did not lose a single match in the Playoffs, and reached the Grand Finals of the tournament by cruising through the Upper Bracket.

In the Grand Finals, Luminosity encountered OMO Abyssinian, whom they had previously clean swept in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
Game 1
- Luminosity Gaming picks: Zacian, Comfey, Umbreon, Inteleon, Zoroark
- OMO Abyssinian picks: Glaceon, Blastoise, Lefeaon, Clefable, Trevenant
While OMO started in high spirits in the first game of the series, they lost their advantage as the game progressed and lost against Luminosity’s late-game comeback.
Game 2
- Luminosity Gaming picks: Blissey, Inteleon, Blastoise, Umbreon, Venusaur
- OMO Abyssinian picks: Hoopa, Trevenant, Lefeaon, Slowbro, Glaceon
Both teams gave their all in the second game of the series. Unfortunately for OMO, Luminosity were able to secure Rayquaza and close the game in their favor to take the lead up to 2-0.
Game 3
- Luminosity Gaming picks: Umbreon, Zoroark, Zacian, Mew, Comfey
- OMO Abyssinian picks: Trevenant, Inteleon, Blastoise, Eldegoss, Talonflame
OMO looked completely lost against Luminosity’s complete dominance in this game. It quickly turned into a one-sided beatdown with Luminosity winning the game by a huge margin and ultimately winning the series.
Luminosity Gaming are now back-to-back world champions after winning the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023. They walked away with the trophy and $100,000 USD as the winning prize money. The runners-up OMO Abyssinian got $75,000 USD for their performance in the tournament.
