LoL Worlds 2022 Semifinals Preview: Check out the qualified teams, schedule, format, and more – The quarterfinals of the League of Legends 2022 World Championship have concluded. There were many intense clashes between the eight teams and fans witnessed some incredible plays. Ultimately four teams made it out and will fight in the Semifinals. If you are preparing to watch this stage, here are some things that you should know about beforehand.
LoL Worlds 2022 Semifinals: Format
In the Semifinals:
- Four qualified teams will play in a single elimination bracket.
- All the matchups will follow the Best-of-5 series format.
- Side selection privilege: This privilege will be determined by a coin flip for game one. The privilege in game two will be given to the losing side.

LoL Worlds 2022 Semifinals: Qualified Teams
The following four teams have reached the semifinals of the 2022 World Championship.
- JD Gaming: JDG clean swept Rogue by 3-0 to qualify for the semifinals. They are currently the only LPL team who are in the race for the Summoner’s Cup. Many will hope for them to bring the glory back to China this year.
- T1: There is no surprise that Faker’s T1 has also reached the semifinals this year. As one of the favorites to win Worlds this year, many want to see whether Faker can lift the trophy for the fourth time.
- Gen.G: The 2022 LCK Summer winners defeated DWG KIA to reach the semifinals. Although they are not looking as invincible as in the Summer Split, they will still be looking to advance further to have a chance at winning the Summoner’s Cup.
- DRX: DRX is currently the dark horse in the tournament. No one had expected the fourth LCK seed to reach here, but they have silenced all their doubters. Even if people still do not consider them favorites, they will definitely give their all to stay alive in the tournament.

LoL Worlds 2022 Semifinals: Schedule
In the semifinals, the two matchups will be as follows:
- JDG vs T1: Oct. 30 from 02:30 AM IST.
- Gen.G vs DRX: Oct. 31 from 02:30 AM IST.

Only two teams will advance from here to the Grand Finals of LoL Worlds 2022. It will be held on Nov. 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
