GAME 1
The first game between T1 and JDG started off with a bang. Both teams went for a mixed lineup consisting of meta as well as off-meta champions. The game was very close as the gold lead of either side never went past 3,000 until the 38th minute. At this point, JDG defeated T1 in the fight for the Elder Dragon. With this buff, they were able to close out the game gaining a lead in the series.
GAME 2
In the second game, T1 went for some of their signatures picks like Yone for Zeus and Ryze for Faker. Although JDG managed to keep the game even in the early and mid stages, T1 gained momentum in the late game. Gumayusi’s fed Lucien became a menace as he melted down the opponent team, helping T1 equalize the series.

GAME 3
JDG started on a strong note, getting a 1,200 gold lead in the early game, thanks to 369’s Renekton and Kanavi’s Viego. Unfortunately for them, T1’s cores popped off in the late game. Zeus’s Gangplank, Oner’s Nocturne, Gumayusi’s Lucien, and Faker’s Ryze won skirmishes, helping T1 bag this game too in 30 minutes.
GAME 4
It was a do-or-die situation for JDG and they went for a late-game-centric lineup. But, T1 countered them by getting strong early-to-mid-game heroes. Gumayusi’s Varus was the star of the show here as he completely decimated the LPL first-seed team’s lineup. His 12/1/11 KDA was crucial for T1 as they won this game and hence the series by 3-1.

Although we did not go into game five, it was still an intense series between the two teams. A lot of fans viewed the matchup between the best teams from the LPL and LCK regions. The second game between T1 and JDG even crossed the 2 million viewership mark which is a new peak milestone for the LoL Worlds 2022 tournament.
Unfortunately for JDG, their loss here eliminates them from the tournament while T1 advances to the Grand Finals after 5 years. They will be facing the winner of the semifinal between DRX and Gen.G on Nov. 5.
