LoL Worlds 2022 Quarterfinals Preview: Check out the qualified teams, schedule, format, and more – With the conclusion of the League of Legends 2022 World Championship Group Stage, eight teams have made it to the Knockout Stage, the Quarterfinals being the first level. If you are looking forward to watching the upcoming bracket as well as cheering on your favorite teams, here are some things that you should know about beforehand.

In the Quarterfinals:

  • Eight qualified teams will play in a single elimination bracket.
  • The first-ranked team of each group faces the second-ranked team from another group.
  • All the matchups will follow the Best-of-5 series format.
  • Side selection privilege: The team placed first in groups will choose the side in game one. The privilege in game two will be given to the losing side. For all other games, the privilege will be decided by a coin flip.

The eight teams that have qualified for the Worlds Quarterfinals are:

    • T1 (Group A – 1st)
    • EDward Gaming (Group A – 2nd)
    • JD Gaming (Group B – 1st)
    • DWG KIA (Group B – 2nd)
    • DRX (Group C – 1st)
    • Rogue (Group C – 2nd)
    • Gen.G (Group D – 1st)
    • Royal Never Give Up (Group B – 2nd)

The schedule for the Knockout Stage has already been released. Even the Quarterfinals matchups have been drawn after the conclusion of the Group Stage. They are as follows:

  • JDG vs Rogue: Oct. 21 from 02:30 AM IST.
  • T1 vs RNG: Oct. 22 from 02:30 AM IST.
  • Gen.G vs DWG KIA: Oct. 23 from 02:30 AM IST.
  • DRX vs EDG: Oct. 24 from 02:30 AM IST.

Out of the eight, only four teams will advance from here to the semifinals of Worlds. From there, the two finalists will emerge. All eight teams have played brilliantly till now and by this point, everyone has an equal chance of lifting the Summoner’s Cup this year.
