LoL Worlds 2022 Quarterfinals Day 3: Gen.G comes out on top against DWG KIA after an intense 5-game series – Top Korean powerhouse teams, Gen.G and DWG KIA battled in the third quarterfinals of the League of Legends 2022 World Championship. As expected from the LCK region, it was an intense and close series between both teams. The winner was determined in the deciding game five.

Gen.G VS DWG KIA
GAME 1
In the first match of the series, both teams were neck-to-neck until the late game started. Chovy’s Ryze and Ruler’s Miss Fortune popped off in the late game, helping Gen.G secure the game within 25 minutes. It helped start strong with a lead over DWG in the series.

GAME 2
DWG looked to recover from the deficit in the second match. But their efforts got wasted as Gen.G made a comeback after losing in the early game. The 2022 LCK Summer winners extended the game to 42 minutes before registering a victory. Chovy’s mid-lane Yone was the star for Gen.G here.
GAME 3
With their backs against the wall, DWG fought back in the third match. They took down almost all map objectives to get a comfortable win within 26 minutes. From the draft to skirmishes, DWG excelled in every department against Gen.G.

GAME 4
DWG’s momentum continued into the next game as they dominated Gen.G in a similar style. They took down almost all map objectives to build up a massive lead. Gen.G players were not able to counter DWG and hence lost the match in 24 minutes. With this win, DWG leveled the series 2-2.
GAME 5
The decider game saw both teams going all out against each other. DWG and Gen.G secured a similar number of map objectives to stay even against one another. The gold lead also swayed a lot between the two teams until Gen.G secure the second Baron. Using this buff, they were able to destroy DWG’s nexus and win the series by 3-2.

This was the ultimate showdown that everyone expected between the two LCK teams. From the comebacks to the decider game 5, fans witnessed some of the best plays of LoL Worlds 2022 in this series.
