LoL Worlds 2022: Quarterfinals Day 1

game 1
Rogue was completely outdrafted in the first game of the series. From the JDG side, Kanavi’s Graves became the star as he carried his team throughout the match. With 369’s Gragas and Hope’s Aphelios popping off in the late game, JDG was able to close out the game within 29 minutes.

game 2
We saw both teams go for similar drafts as the previous game. Unfortunately for Rogue, the results also were the same. Kanavi’s Viego’s early game ganks helped the JDG bot lane to get an early lead over Rogue. The LPL first seed was able to translate this lead to secure almost all map objectives. They won the game within 29 minutes, registering a 2-0 lead over Rogue.
game 3
Being in a do-or-die situation, Rogue tried to go for a slightly different lineup. And it even worked for them in the early game. Larssen’s LeBlanc and Comp’s Kalista helped Rogue get a foothold here. It was JDG’s 369 on his Ornn that turned the tables on Rogue halfway through the game. He set up perfect engages, helping other JDG members to win in skirmishes. From there, JDG just snowballed and secured the game in 33 minutes.
Despite some impressive plays from Larssen and Comp, Rogue never looked comfortable playing against JDG. The LPL first seed outclassed them in almost all departments, which translated to such a dominating 3-0 series win.
