LoL Worlds 2022 Play-Ins Day 6: We finally have the last two teams to advance to the Group Stage – The final day of the Play-In stage saw four teams competing for the last two spots in Worlds Group Stage. Evil Geniuses faced MAD Lions while Royal Never Give Up went against DetonatioN FocusMe. Teams faced each other in the best-of-5 match series to decide who will qualify for the next stage. Let us take a look at the recap of Play-Ins Day 6.
LoL Worlds 2022: Play-Ins Day 6
Evil Geniuses vs mad lions
Game 1
Despite MAD giving a tough fight to EG in the first game, they were not able to translate it into a lead. EG on the other hand popped off in the late game with their scaling champions and closed the game in 37 minutes.
Game 2
It seems that the loss negatively affected MAD because they were completely out of form in this game. EG completely dominated the European team and secured a quick win within 24 minutes. It gave them a 2-0 lead in the series.

Game 3
With their back against the wall, MAD tried to recover using their comfort picks. But it was not enough. EG had the momentum on their side and was able to shut down MAD’s plays across the map. They secured victory by the 28-minute mark and clean swept MAD 3-0 to win the series.
EG will advance to the Group Stage and will be placed in a tough Group B. They need to play against like G2 Esports, DWG KIA, and JD Gaming.
royal never give up vs detonation focusme
Game 1
DFM started the series on a strong note. The LJL representative came prepared and were dominating RNG across the map. Although RNG won some skirmishes, DFM produced an upset to secure victory in the first game.

Game 2
DFM adopted a similar approach in this game too. But this time, RNG was more cautious. We saw them punish the Japanese team for their aggression and mistakes. This finally led RNG to secure the game by 32 minutes and level the series.
Game 3
It seemed like DFM was losing its focus by this point. They were making too many risky plays which got punished by the solid teamwork of RNG. By the late game, the match looked like a lost cause for DFM and they ultimately lost, giving RNG a 2-1 lead.
Game 4
RNG had clearly warmed up by this point and was ready to dominate its opponents. They made short work of DFM and secured all map objectives, never giving the enemy a chance to make any comebacks. RNG won the game by 27 minutes and claimed the series.

RNG will now advance into the Group Stage and will be placed in Group D. Their main opponents here will be the tournament favorites Gen.G, but even 100 Thieves and CTBC Flying Oyster should not be taken lightly.
