LoL Worlds 2022: Here is everything you need to know about the LoL Worlds 2022 Group Draw Show

LoL Worlds 2022: Here is everything you need to know about the LoL Worlds 2022 Group Draw Show – On Sept. 11, we will get to see the LCS Summer champion of the year. But, the action will not end just there. Just after this crowning event, this year’s League of Legends World Championship will officially begin with Worlds 2022 Draw Show taking place. Let us check out the schedule for the Draw Show.

LoL Worlds 2022: Draws for Play-In Stage

The Worlds 2022 Draw Show will begin with the 12 Play-in Stage teams being drafted into three pools. It will be based on their recent regional performance. The teams will also be divided into different pools so as to ensure consistent quality across them. These pools will then be sorted into two groups of six teams (namely Group A and Group B) for the Play-In Stage of Worlds 2022.

  • Pool 1 will consist of the fourth seed of LPL and LCK, the third seed of LEC, and the second seed of PCS regions.
  • Pool 2 will consist of the fourth seed of LEC, the third seed of LCS, the second seed of VCS, and the winner of LJL regions.
  • Pool 3 will consist of winners of the LCO, TCL, LLA, and CBLOL regions.

One of the key rules is that two teams from the same region will not be drawn to the same group. The Play-in matches of LoL Worlds 2022 will begin on Sept. 29 in Mexico City, Mexico.

LoL Worlds 2022: Draws for Group Stage

With the Play-In Stage Draw being completed, the next task will be to conduct the Group Stage Draws. The remaining 12 teams that have qualified directly here will be divided into three pools based on their recent regional performance.

Teams from these three pools will be sorted into four groups of four for the Group Stage of Worlds 2022.

  • Pool 1 will consist of winners of LPL, LCK, LEC, and the LCS regions.
  • Pool 2 will consist of runners-up from the LPL, LCK, LEC, and the winner of PCS regions.
  • Pool 3 will consist of third seeds from LPL and LCK, the second seeds from LCS, and winners of the VCS regions.

The teams that win in the Play-In Stage and qualify for the Groups will be drawn directly into each of the four groups. They will not be a part of the Draw Show.

As stated before, no two teams from the same region will be drawn into a single group. If this scenario somehow happens in the future, the officials will move the second drawn teams to the next available group slot. The Group Stage matches of LoL Worlds 2022 will begin on Oct. 7 in New York City.

Stay tuned to get the latest updates regarding League of Legends and its upcoming World Championship tournament.
