LoL Worlds 2022: 4 teams from different regions qualify for the League of Legends World Championship 2022

Fnatic: LEC representative

Fnatic becomes the last team that will make it to LoL Worlds 2022 from the LEC region. The team had been placed in the lower bracket since the beginning of the 2022 LEC Summer playoffs. But, they have already defeated two teams to keep their hopes in the bracket alive.

After beating Misfits Gaming by 3-0, they have now qualified for the World Championship for this year. Still, the team has only made it to the play-in stage. To qualify directly for the group stage, they must perform a miracle run by beating MAD Lions, Rogue, and G2 Esports. All these 3 teams have already booked their Worlds spots.

DRX: LCK fourth seed

The 2022 LCK Regional Qualifiers have finally concluded. The final to determine the fourth seed from Korea was fought between DRX and Liiv SANDBOX.

It was an intense series five-game series, but ultimately, DRX conquered SANDBOX to book their spot in Worlds this year. They have qualified for the play-in stage of the World Championship.

Beyond Gaming: PCS representative

Beyond Gaming becomes the final representative from the PCS region that will advance to LoL Worlds 2022. While CTBC Flying Oyster made it to the regional finals and Worlds before them, Beyond Gaming has also achieved this objective. Their final challenge is to win the PCS Summer finals.

In the grand finals between the two teams, the winner will not only claim the PCS title but will advance directly to the Worlds group stage. On the other hand, the runner-up team will be placed in the play-in stage of the tournament.

LOUD:  CBLOL representative

We finally have the team that will compete from the Brazil region in the League of Legends 2022 World Championship. LOUD won the CBLOL Split 2 to earn their spot in the largest esports event of the calendar year.

It has been an arduous journey for the Brazilian representative. After placing fourth in the regular season, they were victorious in two upper bracket games. But Pain Gaming defeated them to demote them into the lower bracket.

But LOUD got a rematch chance with Pain after qualifying for CBLOL’s grand finals. Here they clean-swept Pain Gaming by 3-0 and won the regional title, as well as the Worlds spot. They will now be participating in the play-in stage of the tournament.

After these four new additions, the total number of teams that have made it to LoL Worlds 2022 so far is 19. Stay tuned to get more such updates from League of Legends and the upcoming Worlds tournament.
