League of Legends Esports has announced the dates of World Championship 2020 that will be starting from September 25th – October 31st 2020. All stages of the championship will be played in Shanghai.

To ensure the health and safety of the players and organizing team members. The event will be hosted in a single city, which will help in controlling the show environment. The top teams from the regional leagues will compete in the competition to win the title of world champions. Last year, Fun Plus Phoenix became the world champions and took home 37.50% of the 2,225,000 USD Prize pool.

The starting stages of the tournament will not be played in front of a live audience. Besides, it will be focused on the digital viewing experience. From the Elder Dragon in 2017 to last year’s Holonet technology with True Damage, LoL Esports always tried to innovate on the viewer experience. They said the event will be in true League oF Legends style.
